John Denver went into the studio and recorded her song The Blizzard. He never released it as it was a gift for her, and he sent to her. She never acknowledged it. John was hurt by that. While I love this...Judys voice and the medley, I am thrilled she paid some small homage to him here.

I played this song on Guitar at my father’s funeral - key of A I learned if from her wonderful piano version of this deeply personal song. (I never knew she did a Guitar version until finding this video) This version is extremely emotional for her….

Judy had such a beautiful voice and presence. The fear of voicing a Biblical reference was unknown. Respect for public performances was the expectation. And 80% of the audience weren't on prescription medications for anger and inattentivesness. 1964 must seem like a different planet to our younger generations.

Real music like this is still thriving. My wife and I just went to the Milwaukee Irish festival. So many bands, so much excellent live music without artificial enhancements. There were Duos as well as bands with as many as five and six and seven band members. There was Rock, there was traditional and Folk. There was rock, there was folk, there was traditional. And I learned that they have these Irish or Celtic music festivals all over the United States on a recurring basis. Some acts are local, some acts are regional, some acts come all the way over from other countries.

This came out in the summer of 1975 and it was not the sort of song that she would have recorded more of a folk singer taken from the musical A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC but this version and how she sings it its just stunning
